APPLETON HOUSE

Situated within Boston’s Beacon Hill, this private courtyard epitomizes urban outdoor living. A custom lattice structure defines the space, forming an intimate garden setting within the city’s historic neighborhood. Sunlight filters through a canopy of honey locust trees, casting dappled light across granite and turf lounging areas framed by lush hydrangeas and timeless boxwood. A centrally placed fireplace offers ambiance and a focal point for gathering, while flanking water features introduce a soft rhythm of sound and tranquility.

A rooftop garden extends the experience above, defined by custom planters and panoramic views of Boston’s skyline. At one end, a contemporary fire table and lounge seating nestle into a planted corner, while an outdoor kitchen anchors the opposite end, with a dining space bridging the two.
